Our 12th Annual RTR was a huge success, thanks to the delightful weather and the wonderful crowd. Plenty of walking , riding and jogging took place-and delicious pie was enjoyed by those who made it to Enfield! The Lebanon Green was the perfect venue for games, raffle and BBQ. Frisbees were flying. We look forward to the 13th Annual event and want to thank all our generous sponsors for helping to make this special day possible. Come out and enjoy Labor Day with Headrest. Walk, run, bike or stroll…heck, you can even ramble! Bring the kids. Go a little way. Go a long way. Enjoy some delicious pie at our final rest stop in Enfield. And, when you have had your fill of exercise, we will have games, a raffle, a BBQ and live music waiting for you on the Lebanon Green/Colburn Park. We will be there to add entertainment to your day and Headrest staff and volunteers will provide encouragement along the way.

Early registrants will receive a Rail Trail Ramble 2019 tee shirt to commemorate your efforts (while supplies last). Be sure to sign up early (you will save $) and encourage friends and family to do the same. We will have “day of” registration available for those who simply can’t commit ahead of time, but we’d love to have plenty of advanced sign up so we can be sure to have enough of our trademark yummy pies available on the Rail Trail!

See you at the trailhead across from the CCBA (Carter Community Building Association) in Lebanon, NH. Registration begins at 8:30 AM Labor Day. Rambling begins at 9:00 AM.

Proceeds benefit HEADREST a nonprofit organization that began at Dartmouth College in 1971 and is now located in Lebanon, NH. Headrest provides the only 24-hour crisis hotline for New Hampshire, Vermont, and parts of Maine, and it has logged over 417,000 hours of continuous service to the Upper Valley and beyond. In 2017, this meant answering 8,200 phone calls, half of which were considered crisis calls, including over 1300 suicide-related calls. Headrest also provides low intensity residential services as well as outpatient services to those recovering from and affected by substance use disorder. Your participation in our largest fundraising event, Rail Trail Ramble, helps us meet our goal of providing both excellent crisis and substance abuse recovery support.

Please consider a donation to Headrest. We rely on the generosity and support of our community. Together we can make a difference!
