Professionally trained crisis counselors are available 24/7 to offer individuals, families, and friends immediate assistance to help them explore options to resolve their crisis. The counselors emphasize the need to take all necessary actions to de-escalate a crisis, to establish a rapport to develop a safety plan, and collaborate with local and state partners and emergency personnel to ensure safety and provide a continuum of care.

Headrest also offers a Chat and Text platform for individuals to use by texting 988. The counselors provide crisis services through text messaging and/or chat conversations. We are pleased to offer a different modality for individuals to seek immediate support, information and referral, and an opportunity to develop a safety plan.
